Overview MR technology

Proprietary Dry Magnet technology

The MRS*DRYMAG technology up to 9.4T does not require liquid helium or liquid nitrogen for the cooling, hence the term dry magnet. This technology does not require quench pipes or quench valves reducing significantly the cost of installing the MRS*DRYMAG 9.4T.

Zero liquid helium is better than zero boil off

With MRS*DRYMAG technologyMR Solutions users are not the hostages of the helium shortage and its escalating price year after year.MR Solutions preclinical MR systems significantly reduce environmental impact.

Dry Magnet versus traditional Wet magnets

MRS*DRYMAG does not require major site preparation. The below drawing shows the comparison between a 9.4T MRS*DRYMAG weighing 700 kg and a traditional 9.4T WET magnet weighing about 5 tons.

MRS*DRYMAG can be installed in Biosafety laboratories Levels 1, 2, 3, 4 and in the higher floor of a building.

Variable field / rampable dry magnet

MRS*DRYMAG can be ramped down and ramped up to any field strengths within few minutes. For instance from 7.0T to 3T for clinical and preclinical translational imaging studies , to 1T for contrast agent development, to 0.5T for ex-vivo studies.

Rotation magnet stand

Some specific applications such as plants studies, fluid flow in porous media,  agronomic research or gravity studies require a vertical magnet. MRS*DRYMAG  can simply move easily from one position to the other.

Simultaneous PET/MR imaging with PET INSERT

The MRS*PET INSERT is designed for simultaneous PET/MRI. It permits multi-parametric information on the same animal as both PET and MR are acquired simultaneously.

CLIP-ON Technology for PET/MR & SPECT/MR

The CLIP-ON technology is a unique plug and play system making the same PET or the same SPECT component compatible with both CT and MR. This allows PET/CT/MR and SPECT/CT/MR imaging without duplicating any of the imaging modalities.

Animal Handling and monitoring

MRS*DRYMAG‘s use advanced animal handling and animal monitoring systems. Much more than a simple animal bed for preclinical imagers, the system provides a well-controlled environment for handling lab animals and plays a critical role in obtaining accurate and reproducible imaging results.

MRS*Preclinical Scan: Multimodality imaging Software

Preclinical Scan is the multimodality interface for preclinical imaging. Under one interface users have access to all MRI functionalities such as adjusting MRI pulse sequences parameters, but also have access to the PET, SPECT and CT extended functionalities. We have designed the graphical user interface to be friendly and easy to set up, even for the new user. For the advanced user, real-time optimisation and advanced functionalities are available. Preclinical Scan software can be configured with different levels of access depending on the experience of designated users. Learn More

Pulse sequence programming and Spectroscopy software

Powerscan software allows the MRI physicist full access to all functions of the MRI system. Pulse sequences may be written and/or modified. Spectroscopy sequences and software can be provided. Learn More
