Simultaneous PET/MR imaging

The MRS*PET INSERT is designed for simultaneous imaging in combination with MR Solutions Cryogen-free MR up to 9.4T. It permits multi-parametric information on the same animal as both PET and MR are acquired simultaneously. The PET INSERT is removable from the MR allowing to have access to the full bore of the MR system.  The PET INSERT can be operated as a stand alone device.

  • Simultaneous PET/MR imaging
  • Whole body rodents imaging
  • Compatible with MRS*DRYMAG up to 9.4T.
  • Stand alone operation
  • PET field of view: Axial ≤ 150mm , transaxial ≤80 mm, Inner diameter ≤112 mm

Overview PET/MR technology

MRS*PET INSERT for stand alone operation

The MRS*PET INSERT can be removed from the MR in 5 minutes. It is possible to operate the PET insert as a stand alone device while the MR is scanning large animals.

PET Technology: True Depth Of Interaction (DOI)

The MRS*PET for small animal imaging uses the latest silicon photomultiplier (SiPM) technology. The detector assembly (crystal/ SiPM) allows true DOI (depth of interaction) with two pixelated layers of scintillator crystals with different matrices. This design enables the MR SOLUTIONS PET module to reach under 0.8mm resolution.

MRS*DRYMAG: Proprietary Cryogen-free MR Technology

The MRS*DRYMAG technology up to 9.4 does not require liquid helium or liquid nitrogen for the cooling, hence the term of dry magnet. Read more about MRS*PET/MR for simultaneous imaging.
